= Update =
Thanks to everyone who turned up for the celebrations on Saturday! I hope everyone enjoyed the festivities. I would also like to thank the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) for their generous support, without which the event would not have been possible.
Look out for our next event, the Mid-Autumn Festival / Welcome BBQ for the incoming Singaporean students in MIT, which is tentatively scheduled to be held on Sunday, 14 September. Hope to see all of you then!

Welcome to the new MIT Singapore Students Society mailing list for the 2008/09
academic year! To kick off the year’s activities, we will be celebrating
National Day this coming Saturday (9 August, of course) with a screening
(hopefully!) of the National Day Parade, as well as a catered dinner.
Join us to celebrate Singapore’s birthday, and enjoy the company of fellow
Singaporeans this 9th August. Friends and family are most welcome - please
spread the word! (and RSVP too - see below. Kudos to those who decide to show
up in red or this season’s National Attire.)

To get to the Seminar Room:
Upon entering the main entrance of S&P along Pacific Street, enter the door on
the right of the lobby. Continue to the end of the corridor and turn left.
There should be two elevators on your right, with the Seminar Room in front of
you.
As we are catering for the event, please RSVP using the following link to the

by 6pm, Thursday, 7 August so that we can have an estimate of the number of
attendees.
